Opportunity Details
See Spot Read Spot Summer Pals (Pine Village) [MAN]
See Spot Read Spot is a volunteer led community collaboration dedicated to advancing reading skills for low income children as an intervention effort to curb summer learning loss. United Way of Manatee County (UWMC) has partnered with the Manatee County School District in conjunction with the Summer Break Spot feeding program to identify children without access to food. UWMC matches community volunteers with small groups of children at select Summer Break Spot locations to provide books and an opportunity to read. Lunch time is 12-2:00 pm, but this volunteer opportunity is flexible. We ask for at least an hour at the location.
