Disaster Response Leader Training [HIL]
In times of disaster, such as a major hurricane, a Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) may need to be activated. This VRC is the location where volunteers can go to assist with the various needs in our community. This training will prepare disaster response leaders to quickly manage unaffiliated volunteers, focusing on the critical role these leaders play in supporting the management of the VRC in times of disaster. The training is two hours long and will educate people who will then be prepared to activate locally in times of disasters to help United Way Suncoast manage volunteers.
