Publix at Lincoln Memorial Academy - Day of Caring 2018

Lincoln Memorial Academy Urban Ag relies on volunteers to sustain a diverse and unique garden and farm program for middle school students from predominantly low-income families. Volunteers become little elves behind the scenes to make the program viable for students. Activities include planting extra garden and hydroponic areas, weeding, mulching, and pest control; cleaning animal pens, fish tanks, and containers; making repairs on garden beds, tools and irrigation. Volunteers are also needed to install and maintain small landscape beautification areas and a butterfly garden. Two murals and several small construction projects are waiting for just the right volunteers to paint or build based on skill sets. Organizing tasks may also be available. We can accommodate a group of up to 50 volunteers, so if you have a large group, please reach out to us!
