Stand Down for Veterans [MAN]

The 2019 Stand Down in Manatee County will be held on Saturday, November 2nd. Turning Points and their partners will be providing a variety of services for Veterans and others who are homeless or at risk. This event will be held at the Manatee County Fairgrounds in Palmetto, 1303 17th Street West, and will be open to the homeless public from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Volunteers are needed on Thursday October 31 for set-up and four shifts on Saturday November 2:
6:30-10:00 AM - Volunteers will help with client pre-registration, security in the parking lots, and clothing
7:30am-Noon - Volunteers will help with client registration in the main building, face painting and children's activities, assistance/runners, security in the fairgrounds, and Veteran's services
9:15am-1:00 pm - Volunteers will help with lunch preparation, serving, and clean-up 1:00 pm-4:00pm - Volunteers will help with tear down
