Teaching Tools Store - Week of Caring 2021 [HIL]
Teens age 13 & 14 must volunteer with a parent or guardian.
Do you have a passion for helping connect kids to greatness? If so, Teaching Tools for Hillsborough Schools needs your help! This program through the Hillsborough Education Foundation provides free school supplies year-round to economically disadvantaged students attending Hillsborough County Public Schools designated as Title I.
Volunteers will assist teachers in shopping for a variety of items to ensure that the classrooms have the basic tools for learning. Due to COVID-19, the operation of the store has been changed to an online ordering platform versus having the teachers shop in-store. Teachers place their order online and then pick up their order curbside.
Volunteers may assist with various tasks such as stocking online products, packaging online orders, sorting through product and breaking down bulk items. There is a possibility that there could be some walking orders out to teachers trunks as well.
New volunteers for this project will need to complete the HEF application before attending.
Volunteer projects for Week of Caring will be following CDC guidelines regarding face masks and social distancing.
T-shirts will be provided on-site by United Way Suncoast. Volunteers will be asked for their t-shirt size when registering below.
Thank you for volunteering!
