VITA 2021 Daystar Life Center Greeter/Screener (PIN)
COMBINATION SITE COVID-19 Safety Precautions (for all in-person roles) If you are experiencing COVID symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you cannot volunteer at a site until you have followed quarantine guidelines. CDC recommendations will be followed at all sites. Volunteers must complete a COVID-19 screening when they arrive at a site. All volunteers and taxpayers must follow social distancing guidelines, properly wear a face mask covering both nose and mouth, and clean surfaces and hands between taxpayers using provided sanitizers. Greeter/Screener (In-person) – Must complete the Volunteer Standards of Conduct Exam, the Intake/Interview & Quality Review Exam and watch the Greeter/Screener Training Video. Tax law certification is not required for this position. Greet everyone visiting the site to create a pleasant atmosphere. You screen taxpayers to determine the type of assistance they need and confirm they have the necessary documents to complete their tax returns. Educate clients with various tax savings options and encourage clients to complete the United Way Suncoast Survey. Dress Code: Business Casual. Please arrive 15 minutes early for your shift. If you must cancel your shift, please contact the site coordinator immediately.
