Showcase your Favorite Hobby - Virtually!
Children at Children First receive quality early childhood education and comprehensive care that supports health development. Children develop social skills, confidence, self-esteem, and an enthusiasm for lifelong learning.
Do you like to garden, sew, make crafts, cook, read stories, make books, take care of pets, exercise, play an instrument, or sing? Would you like to share your hobby with a preschooler? We have the opportunity for you to make items for our classrooms or create a video sharing your hobby for our virtual library. This is an opportunity to personalize your volunteer experience from the safety of your home.
If you would like to make crafts for the children, please keep in mind that we have approximately 10 per class. Ideally we would want everyone in a classroom to receive the item, but you can prepare for more than one classroom if you’d like.
If creating a video, please plan for a minimum of 3-5 minutes or up to 15 minutes for the children to view (they are under 5 years of age). They will be posted on the Children First You Tube channel as a teachers’ resource and for the children and families to watch and learn.
Once formatted, save the video to a file sharing platform (Google Docs or Dropbox) and email the link to the file to Rebecca Cain at email@example.com.
