Quality Childcare Initiative Project [DES, MAN, SAR]

United Way Suncoast’s Quality Childcare Initiative supports the key quality components of childcare at selected early childcare centers in Sarasota, DeSoto, and Manatee County. High-quality preschool gives children a strong start on the path that leads to college or a career. Children need a physical setting—both inside and outdoors—where they can play, explore, and learn safely.
Volunteers are needed to help enhance the children's learning environment through a variety of tasks that may include assembling children’s toys, cleaning and sanitizing, moving furniture, sanding and painting flooring and outdoor areays, spray painting playground equipment or other helpful tasks.

On May 1st, volunteers will assist with a deck refresh including sanding and painting the new deck area.

On May 8th, volunteers will powerwash playground equipment.

Additional dates, times and locations will be held on various Saturdays throughout the year and added to this page once determined.
Volunteers will be required to wear face masks, socially distance themselves from other volunteers and follow the current CDC guidelines for this project.
We look forward to seeing you there!
