Messages to First Responders - 9/11 Day of Service 2022

The 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance is a positive way to unite and pay tribute to the victims, survivors and first responders who served in response to the attacks on September 11, 2001. It is also a reminder of the importance of working together to help our community have the freedom to rise.

This year is the 21st Anniversary of that tragic day.  Join United Way Suncoast and volunteers throughout our nation to thank our first responders by volunteering this virtual opportunity.

This is a great opportunity to be as creative as you like - you can use plain paper or stationary, blank note cards or create hand-made cards.

Tips & Tricks:

  • Before you start, gather the supplies you will use to create your letters or cards. This may include stationary, store-bought note cards, or materials to create your own cards (cardstock, colored pencils, scissors, etc.).
  • Individual envelopes are not required, but please do not seal them if they are used as they need to be screened before being distributed.

Once complete, mail your completed letters or cards along with your full name to:

Please make sure to mail your letters/cards by September 17th.

Once received, our team will distribute the notes to first responders who serve our local communities.
