Hope Villages of America: Veterans Week of Service 2024 [PIN]
United For ALICE is a driver of innovation, research, and action to improve life across the country for ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) and for all. ALICE data revealed that 29% of veterans in Florida “lived in a household with income below the ALICE threshold of financial survival in 2019.” This means that these veterans earned above the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), but it still wasn’t enough for them to afford the basic necessities where they lived.
Hope Villages of America provides hope restoration with dignity to those in need through innovative programs and services. Volunteers help with the most basic part of our mission, getting food to the people who need it most. Volunteers will prepare boxes and bags of food for the daily distribution, housekeeping, groundskeeping, and/or washing trucks, assist with food distribution, sort food, and/or housekeeping.
