SEPTEMBER 11TH WEEK OF SERVICE AND REMEMBRANCE

The September 11th Week of Service and Remembrance is a chance to honor the sacrifices made that day by remembering the heroes, armed forces, first responders, and countless others' acts of service to defend our nation's freedom. From September 9-12, we invite volunteers to come together and carry forward the spirit of unity, compassion, and service through meaningful community projects across our region. Opportunities listed below offer a variety of ways to get involved, from reading to children and supporting local food distribution sites to beautifying shared community spaces and gardens. Together, we can pay tribute to those we remember by making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Help Kick Off 9/11 Week of Service Early By Creating Appreciation Kits for First Responders

Join us on September 2 from 11am-2pm at the Mayor's Food Truck Fiesta in Downtown Tampa as we kick off our Week of Service activities. Community members are invited to stop by and help assemble First Responder Appreciation Kits to recognize and thank the men and women who serve our communities every day. The completed kits will be distributed to first responders in our region during the September 11 Week of Service and Remembrance. No registration is required. Simply stop by, lend a hand, and help us show our gratitude to those who dedicate themselves to keeping our communities safe. View additional details here.
