READ ACROSS SUNCOAST

Throughout March, United Way Suncoast proudly presents Read Across Suncoast at our Quality Childcare Initiative sites, bringing the joy of reading to life for young learners. Read Across Suncoast is our local celebration of the National Education Association’s Read Across America, a beloved initiative that inspires children everywhere to discover the magic of books. 

Thank you to the volunteers who visited 11 of our preschool partner sites across Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto counties. By reading stories and leading hands-on educational activities, you sparked curiosity and imagination in young minds. With 80–90 percent of brain development occurring between birth and age five, your engagement made a critical difference. Together, we created moments that matter and helped shape brighter futures, one book at a time.
