Centerstone Life;Story 5K/10K suicide prevention and awareness event [SAR]

Life;Story is Centerstone's annual event during Suicide Prevention Month (September) to bring our community together to support people impacted by suicide and to raise funds for Centerstone's crises services. 

The Life;Story name includes a semicolon – a punctuation mark that indicates there is more to come, unlike a period indicating the end. No matter how depression, anxiety or suicide has touched your life, we want everyone to know there is more to come – there is more to your Life; there is more to your Story.

In addition to community awareness, Life;Story proceeds provide mental health and addictions services at Centerstone for people who have little or no resources. Your participation will help save and change lives. We want everyone to continue their Life;Story – we want everyone to thrive!

The event could not be a success without the support of individual and group volunteers. We need at least 100 volunteers to ensure the event runs smoothly from start to finish. We welcome indivual volunteers and groups from businesses, places of worship, schools, etc. 

The volunteer roles available are:

• Race Day Registration (Sat, Sept 20, 5:30 AM - 8:00 AM)
• Race Course Water Stops (Sat, Sept 20, 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM)
• Finish Line Crew/Course Cheerleaders (Sat, Sept 20, 6:15 AM - 10:30 AM)
• Community Partner Expo (Sat, Sept 20, 5:45 AM - 10:30 AM)
• Pre/Post Race Party (Sat, Sept 20, 6:00 AM-10:30 AM)
• Snack Table (Sat, Sept 20, 6:00 AM - 10:30 AM)
