#491 Twelve Oaks Plaza - Stuff the Bus 2026

United Way Suncoast is excited to partner with Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee County to bring you this volunteer opportunity for Stuff the Bus! The Food Bank of Manatee, a PLUS program of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, is the only food bank based in Manatee County and we need your help to Stuff the Bus this year! 100% of the proceeds and food collected will stay in Manatee County. There will be a donation table and a school bus at every Publix site. Community members can buy or donate grocery items to "stuff" the school bus in the parking lot. All donations will benefit The Food Bank of Manatee.

Volunteer Roles Include:

• Greeting and accepting donations from shoppers
• Sorting and organizing food items
• Packing boxes and loading them onto the bus

Event Details:

• Two shifts available at each location
• Rain or shine — volunteers will be outdoors, so dress comfortably!
• Volunteers may be asked to lift boxes over 20 lbs
• All spots are first come, first served — no walk-ups allowed

Important Notes:

• Youth ages 8-12 can be registered through their parent or guardian's account.
• Teens age 13 and up must register through their own volunteer account.
• Youth ages 8-15 are required to attend with a parent or guardian.
• Space is limited, so sign up early to secure your spot!
