VITA 2026 Tax Preparer Orientation Virtual: Jan 6

Orientation is required for all volunteers who prepare taxes with the program. 
This 2 hour virtual session is designed to prepare volunteers for their vital role in supporting underserved communities through free tax preparation services.

Supported by the IRS, this orientation provides a comprehensive overview of:

  • Your responsibilities as a VITA Tax Preparer Updates to current tax laws
  • Quality assurance, confidentiality, and ethical standards
  • Client interaction skills and cultural competency
  • Code of conduct and problem-solving techniques
  • Teamwork and the importance of ongoing learning throughout the tax season 
Please Note: This session is intended for Tax Preparers only.  
  • Do not register for multiple sessions.
  • A session link will be emailed a few days in advance.
  • Registration closes 24 hours prior to the session.
