VITA 2026 Site Coordinator Orientation: Virtual
Orientation is required for all volunteers who prepare taxes with the program.
This 2-hour virtual session is designed to prepare Site Coordinator volunteers for their vital role in supporting underserved communities through free tax preparation services.
Supported by the IRS, this orientation provides a comprehensive overview of:
- Updates to current tax laws
- Your responsibilities as a Site Coordinator
- Overview of essential platforms, including NEW appointment scheduling software
- Guidance in offering integrated support services
- Emphasis on quality assurance, confidentiality, and ethical standard
- This session will be virtual.
- Do not register for multiple sessions.
- Site Coordinators are required to attend only one orientation session - either in-person or virtual.
- Registration closes 24 hours prior to the session.
- A session link will be emailed to you a few days in advance.
- If the session is full, please join the waitlist to be notified if a spot becomes available.
