Pantry and Foster Closet Support [HIL]

West Florida Foster Care Services (WFFCS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families involved in the foster care system. Through foster care, adoption support, and community‑based services, WFFCS works to ensure children are safe, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive. As part of this mission, WFFCS operates a pantry and clothing closet to help meet the immediate needs of children and families it serves.
Saturday Family Support Volunteers provide direct assistance to foster and kinship families during pantry and Foster Closet hours.
Volunteer tasks may include:

  • Assist families in selecting food items, clothing, and essentials
  • Help maintain organization and cleanliness of shopping areas
  • Support staff and other volunteers to ensure a smooth, dignified experience for families

Registration:

  • Youth ages 13-15 are required to attend with an adult.
  • Teens 16-18 are able to volunteer without adult.

This role is ideal for volunteers who enjoy helping people, offering guidance, and creating a positive experience for families.
Parking: Entering from Busch Blvd, you will pass by the main church building, and park in the large parking lot to your left. You'll then head towards the courtyard/church sanctuary. At the front of the courtyard you will see a breezeway to your immediate right, and the food pantry will be the first door on the right.
Thank you for volunteering!
