Disaster Resilience Kit Assembly: Hillsborough & Sarasota

As the 2026 hurricane season nears, United Way Suncoast has received another Disaster Resilience Grant from Verizon, following a reward in 2025. The funding comes through a United Way Worldwide initiative to continue ensuring our service area is better prepared for emergencies, building more resilient, stronger communities in the face of future disasters. 
This summer, we are looking for volunteers to assemble 6,000 disaster kits containing vital supplies through partnerships with Feeding Tampa Bay (Hillsborough) and All Faiths Food Bank (Sarasota). 
Please note: Registration is not completed through United Way Suncoast. All volunteers must register directly through our partner organizations using the links below.

Hillsborough County- Feeding Tampa Bay

• All Feeding Tampa Bay shifts are currently full but you can be added to the waitlist.

Sarasota County- All Faiths Food Bank

Friday, July 31

• This opportunity is limited to 20 volunteers, so early sign-up is encouraged.
• Select the shift time below and create an All Faiths Food Bank volunteer account if you do not already have one.
• When asked about orientation, select: “I am volunteering with a group on a specific date” (this allows you to skip the orientation requirement)
• Your account will remain pending until approved by AFFB (typically within 24 business hours).
• Check your email (and spam folder) for approval confirmation
