Harvest House Food Distribution: 9/11 Week of Service 2026 [SAR]

The September 11 Week of Service and Remembrance is an opportunity to honor the sacrifices made on that day by remembering the heroes, armed forces, first responders, and countless others whose acts of courage and service helped defend our nation's freedom. Through service, we pay tribute to those we lost and carry forward the spirit of unity, compassion, and community that emerged in the aftermath of September 11.
United Way Suncoast is proud to offer this volunteer opportunity with Harvest House as part of our annual 9/11 Week of Service & Remembrance. Volunteers play a vital role in the organization's weekly food distribution program, helping provide fresh produce, pantry staples, beverages, and other necessities to neighbors in need. By serving at this distribution, volunteers help create a welcoming and dignified experience for participating families while supporting efforts to reduce hunger and strengthen community well-being.

Volunteer Tasks

  • Organizing fresh produce, pantry items, beverages, and other food products
  • Welcoming and assisting participating individuals and families
  • Loading groceries and supplies into vehicles
