IRS CERTIFICATION

The VITA Volunteer Certification Prep Sessions aim to achieve up to three certifications through proctored exams. They also boost volunteers' confidence for service in the VITA program. The certification training includes familiarization with TaxSlayer and understanding IRS and UWS expectations. Collaboration is stressed for effective VITA site operations, and there is a focus on enhancing virtual professional skills for potential virtual service during the tax season.
 

VIRTUAL CERTIFICATION

The virtual session will consist of four (4) modules. Click on a session block to register:

IN-PERSON CERTIFICATION

Volunteers can register for any session regardless of their location.

2+ YEARS EXPERIENCE

Experienced Tax Preparers and Site Coordinators who have previously volunteered with VITA can register for one of the one hour virtual sessions below or can opt for self-certification.
