Veterans Memorial Park & Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins, Jr. Veterans Museum

Hillsborough County's Veterans Memorial Park & Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins, Jr. Veterans Museum is dedicated to honoring our U.S. military and fallen service members from all eras and conflicts. Open daily from 8 until 5, the 16-acre site is home to 14 war memorials including POW/MIA, Iraq and Afghanistan, Korea, Vietnam, WWI, WWII, and many more. The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Thanks to the dedication by the non-profit Veterans Council of Hillsborough County, the park has grown to become a centerpiece for patriotic events since opening in 1997. The property is  managed under the county's Department of Consumer & Veterans Services with a small team of park rangers. The new Veterans Resource Center (open Monday-Friday) is co-located on park grounds. This "1-stop shop" facilitates access to local, state, and federal benefits for Veteran military members, their survivors, and dependents. The county's Consumer Protection Services, which investigates claims of fraud and unfair business practices, has also provided outreach/education programs on site. Admission to Veterans Memorial Park is free, and there is never a fee to visit or receive services from the county's accredited Veterans Service Officers or Consumer Protection Investigators. Centrally located near Interstates 4 and 75, Veterans Memorial Park & Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins, Jr. Veterans Museum offers serene green spaces alongside the sparkling Tampa Bypass Canal. The Rear Admiral LeRoy Collins Veterans Museum offers a humble retrospective of our nation's military endeavors. The site is a popular stop for resident student field trips, visitors from James A. Haley VA Hospital, and even seasonal snowbirds who come to reflect on those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Support is encouragaged and appreciated to maintain this community tribute to our military.
