Volunteering as a Greeter/Screener involves warmly welcoming all site visitors to foster a positive environment. They assess taxpayers to identify their specific needs and ensure they possess the essential documentation required to complete their tax returns. Please note that tax law certification is not a prerequisite for this position.

STEP 1: Fill out the VITA Volunteer Interest Form.

Volunteers who fail to complete the VITA Volunteer Interest Form will not be informed about crucial notifications related to the VITA program. Only those who complete the form will receive notifications when opportunities become available.

STEP 2: Register for the Greeter Orientation

This recorded orientation session offers enhanced insight into the expecations set forth by both the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and United Way Suncoast (UWS) as we contribute to the well-being of our neighbors and communities.

Information for the Greeter/Screener Orientation will be added soon.

STEP 3: Create VITA Certification Test Account
