Tampa Meal Packing: 9/11 Day of Service 2023

9/11 Day is the organization responsible for the establishment of the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. Their overarching mission is to rekindle the spirit of unity and service felt in the days following 9/11/01 on an annualized basis... transforming the day from one of tragedy into one of profound positive impact.

In cities all across the nation, the organization 9/11 Day organizes large-scale volunteer service projects, called Meal Packs, that mobilize thousands of volunteers who together assemble millions of nutritious meals for Americans at risk of hunger. 

This year, 9/11 Day is coming to Tampa and you can be a part of the action!

Each of our events requires a group of what we call 'Support Staff.' These are the leaders onsite who serve as 'table captains' for our meal packing assembly lines, who carry and move boxes of meals around the event floor, who run our check-in process, and provide directional support. There's a fun and meaningful opportunity for everyone over the age of 18.

Date: Monday, September 11
Shift times: 7:30am-11:30am or 10:45am-3pm
Location: Address will be sent after registration through the 9/11 website
Pre-training: one-hour virtual training via Zoom (date/time TBD)
